This Privacy Policy explains how Boss Carpet One Floor & Home, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information within the BC1 Installer App (the "App"). This document applies to the App only.
The App is used solely by authorized workers — employees and subcontractors of the Company — to coordinate and perform flooring installation and related field work. If you are using the App, it is because the Company has provisioned an account for you as part of your work relationship.
The App uses Google Sign-In for authentication. When you sign in, we receive your name, email address, and Google account identifier associated with the work account the Company has authorized. We do not receive your Google password.
The App collects GPS location data during active work — while you are on the clock and assigned to jobs — to support job dispatching, route awareness, arrival tracking, and coordination of field crews. Depending on job activity, location may be collected while the App is running in the background so that crew location remains available to office staff during the workday. Location is not collected for personal, non-work purposes.
The App allows you to capture and upload photos and videos of job sites, installation progress, and related work documentation. These images are stored in the Company's systems as work records. The App accesses your device camera and photo library only for the purpose of capturing or selecting work-related media that you choose to upload.
The App records work-related information such as assigned jobs, job status, time entries, notes, checklists, ratings, and similar operational data you enter or generate while performing your work.
We may collect basic technical information necessary to operate the App reliably, such as device type, operating system version, app version, and diagnostic or error logs.
We use the information only for legitimate business and operational purposes related to the Company's work. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Information within the App is accessible to authorized Company office staff, managers, and administrators as needed to coordinate work. We share information with third-party service providers only as necessary to operate the App, including:
We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect the rights, safety, or property of the Company or others, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
The App requests location permission in order to function as a field-coordination tool. You can change or revoke location permissions at any time in your device's Settings. Note that disabling location may prevent core features of the App from working, since location coordination is central to its purpose. Because the App is a work tool, location collection during work hours is a condition of its operational use as established by the Company.
We retain App data for as long as needed to fulfill the operational and recordkeeping purposes described in this policy, and as required by applicable law and Company policy. Work records (such as job documentation and photos) may be retained as part of the Company's business records.
Because this is a Company-administered business tool, requests to access, correct, or delete your personal information are handled administratively. If you are an authorized user and wish to request deletion of your account or associated personal data, contact the Company at the address below, and we will process the request in accordance with applicable law and our recordkeeping obligations.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information within the App, including authenticated access and role-based permissions. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we take protection of work and personal data seriously.
The App is a workplace tool intended only for authorized adult workers. It is not directed to, or intended for use by, children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acknowledgment of the updated policy.
